\n\"I had often asked myself this question and therefore purchased an electric automatic baby hammock from swing2sleep for my second son. I would now like to report on my experience and assessment in this regard.
\nWhen the second child arrives, many things change.
\nAbove all, the fact that you can no longer concentrate as much on the new addition as you could with the firstborn. The swing2sleep was a great help and support to me here, especially during the time when my little one cried so much.
\nI personally use it mainly when, due to external conditions, I don't have the time and peace to deal sufficiently with the necessary falling-asleep procedure, e.g. when my older one is currently very attention-seeking, visitors are there, I am nervous and overwhelmed, etc.

My little one loves it and sleeps in it for a good 2 to 3 hours at a time.
\nThis naturally carries the \"danger\" of using it constantly. However, I advise against this. Because of course the little ones get used to the cradle and especially to the constant movement. As long as you don't let the little ones take all their daytime naps in it, it is not a \"danger\", but an enormous relief. And should the little one nevertheless have become too accustomed to motorized sleep, they can be easily weaned off it again. The motor's speed can be adjusted so that you can gradually reduce the movement and eventually remove it completely. The step from the cradle to the bed is then only a small one.
\nPersonally, I consider inner peace of mind to be enormously important, and if you are overwhelmed due to a colicky baby or by siblings, I recommend resorting to aids rather than letting yourself or even the children suffer from the overload. Because only a relaxed mom can respond lovingly and calmly to her children.
